The LOFT team is deeply saddened by the passing of Elliot Leonard, co-founder of the Leonard-Litz LGBTQ+ Foundation and a longtime friend, supporter, and champion of our community.

Elliot's life was defined by resilience, generosity, and a profound commitment to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people. Through the Leonard-Litz Foundation, he helped strengthen organizations across the Northeast, ensuring that vital programs, services, and community spaces could continue to thrive. His vision and philanthropy have touched countless lives, including many here at The LOFT.

Alongside his beloved partner, Roger Litz, Elliot lived openly, courageously, and authentically, serving as a role model for generations of LGBTQ+ people. Together they demonstrated what it means to build a life grounded in love, integrity, beauty, and purpose.

His legacy will live on through the organizations he supported, the communities he helped build, and the people whose lives were forever changed by his generosity.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Roger, the Leonard-Litz Foundation family, and all who knew and loved Elliot.
