Connect, Reflect, and Recharge Between Sessions

After a full day of powerful workshops, join us for a relaxed and inspiring Networking Session in the WCC Art Gallery — an opportunity to unwind, share ideas, and build meaningful connections within our community. Enjoy an early dinner and conversation surrounded by art that celebrates identity, resilience, and creativity.

This session bridges the gap between the day’s final workshop and our Night of Resilience Drag Show, offering the perfect space to reflect and engage with fellow attendees, presenters, and community leaders.

Featured Artist: Damien Davis

We’re honored to welcome Damien Davis, a Newark-based artist and writer whose work explores cultural representation and identity through an inventive visual language that recontextualizes symbols across diverse cultures.

Davis will offer a brief artist talk (5–7 minutes) introducing his practice and discussing how visual language, technology, and storytelling intersect in his work to challenge systems of power and visibility. He’ll also share insights into how these ideas connect to this year’s TransForum theme and his ongoing public art and writing projects.

About the Artist:
Damien Davis has exhibited at institutions including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Museum of Arts and Design. His writing regularly appears in Hyperallergic, and he currently teaches at SUNY Purchase College.
