The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center proudly offers Name Change Assistance, a free, pro-bono service supporting individuals in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York who are seeking to legally change their name and/or gender marker.
We understand how powerful and affirming it can be to have your legal documents reflect your true identity. This program provides confidential, one-on-one guidance from trained staff advocates to help you navigate the name and gender marker change process with clarity, support, and care.
Who This Program Serves
This service is available to LGBTQ+ community members who reside in New York’s Lower Hudson Valley, including:
Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties.
