The Art of Drag: Workshop Series
Unleash your inner queen, king, or fabulous in-between!
The Art of Drag is a six-part workshop series led by Westchester’s own Angel Elektra and Shay D’Pines, designed to introduce participants to the vibrant, expressive, and powerful world of drag.
This immersive series explores the rich history of drag while guiding participants through the creative process of developing a unique drag persona. Through hands-on learning, mentorship from seasoned performers, and creative experimentation, participants will build essential skills in makeup artistry, personal branding, and stage performance—gaining confidence both on and off the stage.
Each month, participants will dive into different aspects of drag culture while working toward a culminating live showcase at the end of the series (optional). Whether you’re brand new to drag or looking to elevate your skills, this program offers a supportive, affirming, and creative space for all genders and experience levels.
